  • Notes
    • Notes are transcribed as written by Margaret Olsen Power in 1989 - Tom was a very quiet man. He had beautiful brown eyes, a heavier build than Mike and appeared to be much younger. When Mary died a neighbor, Mrs Farrell, took the whole family and raised them with her own. We visited regularly along with Mary's sister Statia and Maggie. The Carberrys came from Cork. We had many good times together. They always had Mike singing "The Goat", but Tom never seemed to get over Mary's death. At one time, he was Head Stevedore, longshore. He had a stroke around 1940 and from then on Maurice took care of him. He was living with Maurice and Anna when he died in 1958. Mary and Tom had 4 sons, Maurice, John, Francis and Thomas ~END~
