James & Patrick Nolan

Excerpt from the "Writings of Brother E"

James, Patrick --- I will group Jim and Paddy together because they had much in common. They both left Waterford to take up positions gained by competitive exams in the general offices of the Great Southern Railway Company at Kingsbridge in Dublin. Owing to their obviously strong Catholicity, they had no hopes of promotion in that hotbed of Freemasonry. They were both victims of the awful Asiatic Flu that swept the world after World War I and caused more deaths than the War.
